SETELAH sukses meluncurkan PDA Phone pertama seri KS20, LG-Mobile kembali menawarkan ponsel pintar terbaru, seri KT610.

Smartphone ini ponsel pintar seri komunikator keluaran LG yang dirilis dengan harga terjangkau.

Berbeda dengan generasi pertama yang berbasis Windows Mobile (LG KS20), smartphone generasi kedua ini mengusung sistem operasi Symbian S60 versi 3.1.

Meski hadir dalam format desain mini, LG justru menerapkan penggunaan susunan keypad numerik ekstrabesar untuk KT610. Desain keypad ini memberikan kenyamanan lebih pada pengguna dalam pengoperasian.

Sebuah LCD berukuran 1,3 inci ditanamkan untuk layar depannya. Sementara susunan keypad QWERTY lengkap dengan layar LCD berukuran 2,4 inci tersaji lengkap, seakan mengukuhkan keberadaan LG KT610 sebagai sebuah smartphone.

Hadirnya KT610 diprediksi bakal menggempur pasar PDA, termasuk Communicator buatan Nokia.

Benarkah demikian? Konsumen yang akan menjawabnya. Yang jelas, KT610 hadir dengan bentuk lebih praktis, mungil dan harga terjangkau.

Sejumlah fitur yang tak dimiliki Nokia 9300 seperti kamera dan koneksi 3G, bisa didapatkan pada communicator LG KT610.

Selain itu, bila communicator Nokia bentuknya agak besar, KT610 menawarkan desain mungil dan kompak untuk dibawa dalam saku.

Sepintas, dari bentuk fisiknya, KT610 memang mirip dengan communicator Nokia, namun memiliki dimensi yang lebih kecil, 108,9 x 53,9 x 17,2 mm. Ketika dalam keadaan tertutup, terlihat desain keypad numerik yang unik.

Layar Sekunder
Pada bagian depan KT610, seperti layaknya ponsel clamshell, juga memiliki layar sekunder dengan ukuran 1,3 inci, cukup untuk mengintip nomor-nomor in-coming call, maupun melihat notifikasi sinyal, baterai, dan SMS masuk.

Untuk bagian dalamnya, KT610 dilengkapi tombol-tombol QWERTY. Dengan lebar layar LCD berukuran 2,4 inci dan kelengkapan audio pada kanan dan kiri layar utamanya, ponsel pintar terbaru dari LG ini mendukung berbagai aplikasi bisnis.

Bukan hanya itu, kemampuan teknologi 3,5G membuat ponsel ini mampu mencapai kecepatan 3,6Mbps untuk akses pertukaran data di internet.

Selain koneksi USB dan Bluetooth, KT610 juga dilengkapi dengan aplikasi Google (google mail, google map, dan google search) dengan lebih mudah.

Pun dibekali fitur Global Positioning System (GPS). Fitur ini digunakan untuk menemukan lokasi dan perkiraan waktu tempuh pada saat perjalanan.

Guna mendukung kinerja, KT610 menggunakan sistem operasi Symbian S60 ver.3.1. Penggunaan OS Symbian bertujuan untuk memudahkan penambahan aplikasi lain ke dalam ponsel ini.

Sebagai ponsel bisnis, KT610 yang ditawarkan dengan harga Rp 3,5 juta ini juga dilengkapi fitur hiburan seperti kamera 2 megapiksel, pemutar musik, dan video recorder.

LG KC550 EDGE Review

My first impression of LG’s KC550 EDGE cell phone was that it looked pretty cool - a sleek black slider with a big screen.

But my warm fuzzy feelings was dashed when I picked it up and found that it just doesn’t feel like a quality phone.

It’s cheap plastic with a rattly slider and a spongey keypad. The build quality didn’t fill us with confidence.

But The LG KC550 EDGE cell phone Orsay is the first mid-range phone to feature a 5 megapixel camera. In addition to outstanding photo and video capabilities, it also has a music player, FM radio, Wii-style games and Bluetooth.

However, some may find it too large and heavy, and its internal memory is small, although it does support memory cards up to 4 GB.
